The SANGO, Save Beach Assets Project is to promote a new method of an ecologically friendly approach through art creation to protect natural assets; especially ocean and beach assets.
This project is also aimed to suggest a new direction to support the economy of rural areas in developing nations and small islands around the world, not by selling their precious beach resources bit by bit but as an alternative way of income without loosing the beach assets.
Only “Bleached Coral”(not living) washed on shore were used for SANGO artwork. Bleached coral (white coral) is often quoted as an indicator of global warming and the changing ocean environment.
Bleached corals were used as a symbolic icon to appeal to everyone to respectfully preserve beach resources and beautiful coral reefs of the world.
